Off to Liverpool next week for a weekend away with the Mrs. Suprisingly, never been before! Aswell as the usual sightseeing stuff, we'll need to be fed and watered. Anyone know of any decent real ale pub in the city centre?
Try heading for Dale Street, there are some cracking pubs down there. In particular there is the Ship And Mitre which has an excellent array of beers. Rigby's is just down the road and is a wonderful old building. You'll get a very good pint of Arkells in there.
Cheers - I've already earmarked this as a "must visit". Decent beer and decent pies - something I don't have either of over here in Estonia. Which ironically, is in the Baltic sea
Really enjoyed Liverpool. Went to some cracking pubs - the Baltic Fleet and the Ship & Mitre being particular highlights. Nice to see lots of pubs serving real ale, many of it locally produced, being packed to rafters.
